Previously, Keefe (music, City Univ., London) edited The Cambridge Companion to Mozart, an excellent, topically arranged collection of scholarly articles on Mozart's life and works. This volume, coedited with Eisen (music, King's Coll., London), organizes much of that material alphabetically, from "Abel" to "Zinzendorf," but it is much larger and far more ambitious in scope.
