Eco (semiotics, Univ. of Bologna; Foucault's Pendulum) delivered Emory University's Richard Ellmann Lectures in Modern Literature in 2008; his talks were written and presented in English, like much of his writing, and are almost a pun, for Eco didn't publish his first novel, The Name of the Rose, until he was 48.
