The latest addition to Salem's "Great Events from History" series, edited by scholars Faderman (California State Univ.), Yolanda Retter (UCLA), and Horacio Roque Ram�rez (Univ. of California, Santa Barbara), covers events relating to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) community. Its 283 chronologically arranged essays, which average 1000 words in length, are written by both academic specialists and independent scholars.
