Photoshop Elements combines brand-name recognition with an entry-level price, remaining popular with digital photographers and budding graphic artists of all stripes (see Computer Media, LJ 8/03). For beginners, Dummies starts with an overview of the desktop and palettes, then moves through common tasks like working with layers and correcting red eye. The "Part of Tens" chapters at the end cover shortcuts and reasons to upgrade to Photoshop. Appropriate for all libraries. Offering a bit more in the way of explanation than Dummies , Visual QuickStart highlights features new to v.3 and does a nice job pointing out differences in the Windows/Mac versions, with plentiful (albeit somewhat fuzzy) screen shots and step-by-step instructions...Log In or Sign Up to Read More
