K-Gr 2 Polly knows her baby brother throws everything, but she lets him hold her stuffed puffin "for a treat" as they have tea in a restaurant. Jim tosses it into the coat hood of another customer, who leaves without noticing the puffin. Polly, Jim, and their mother follow the man, who hums and carries a violin, through the streets of the city, into stores, the library, and the market, but just miss him everywhere they go (although observant readers will catch a glimpse of him in each picture).
