Gr 5-8 This tribute to a contemporary American artist reveals the influences behind the man and his work. Rubin's admiration for her subject is evident in an introductory note in which she describes meeting and interviewing him. Thiebaud is often referred to as a Pop artist and compared to Andy Warhol. He rejects that label, preferring to place his artwork within the realistic tradition.
