PreS-Gr 2 A collection of 28 fables saddled with uneven retellings and seriously misguided layout. Unnecessary details have been added to what are typically compact, cohesive life lessons. Readers are privy to the inner thoughts of both the Hare and the Tortoise; likewise to Crow's conversation with herself as she raises the water level in the pitcher.
