Ann M. Martin and Laura Godwin convincingly present the world from a doll’s point of view. “Grass was soft, Annabelle discovered. So were flower petals. Tree bark was rough. And sunshine was very bright when you were actually standing in it.” The authors also sprinkle their story with interesting details and gentle humor.
