This volume marks the triumphant return of writer extraordinaire David to a team of mutants that he scripted for several ongoing issues during the early 1990s. A dark, brooding, noirish tone pervades this new arc, with moody art by Sook and Calero and a muted color palette by Jose Villarrubia that perfectly suits the writing.
