Gr 7 Up—A stunning combination of the written word and the visual arts. The app, based on the book by Rick Bowers (National Geographic, 2010; also an iBook) and Dawn Porter's documentary film of the same title (Trilogy Films, 2014 ), takes viewers inside the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission's (MSSC) clandestine, "state-funded" campaign to maintain racial segregation in the state during the 1950s and '60s.
